CMX Series Berlin #4 - The Psychology of Communities

Berlin

Oct 18, 2017, 4:30 – 6:30 PM

In this interactive session, we'll have a look at the psychological principles that make or break online and offline communities.

About this event

Exemplary community management goes beyond a set of tools and strategies - it relies on getting a fundamental understanding of your members, as individuals and as groups. Therefore, psychological principles and social psychology theories can be of great help in understanding your community members, their behaviours, reactions or how they communicate.

In this interactive session, we will discuss a few common phenomena happening in online or offline communities, which can be explained with psychological principles.

We'll animate the discussion so all participants get a chance to share their experiences, where human psychology might have helped them better understand a situation.

This is also a chance to come and ask for your peers' advice if you are confronted with some issues in your community, which you are not sure how to interpret and solve.

Please note: Participation is limited to 15 attendees. Please be fair and only sign up if you are certain that you will be able to attend. If you signed up and can't make it, please cancel your ticket so someone else can attend.
